Toronto Trailblazerstorontotrailblazers.org is a site for the Toronto TRAILBLAZERS, a club in which blind and sighted tandem cyclists ride for recreation and exercise. This site can be read by blind and low visioned computer users who use screen reading (speech synthesis) and text enlargement software to access the material on the site.

I worked with the client to establish their internet strategy. I designed the look of this site, set up the site architecture, and coded the html. I collaberated with Alan Cantor, a specialist in accessible website design, and with the blind and low vision members of Toronto TRAILBLAZERS to make sure the site exceeded accessibility standards. I help volunteers maintain the site.

“Sandy has been a pleasure to work with during the re-development of our website, and she was wonderful at helping us with our unique needs. Since most of our members are blind and visually impaired, we needed a fully-accessible site that works for them. Sandy was very sensitive to our needs, she kept us informed at every stage of the process, and she was very receptive to feedback from our members.”
